No pressure in clutch pedal!
No pressure in clutch pedal!
About a week ago, it was very cold. My 1996 civic ex was sitting out during a freeze. A few days ago I jumped in the car and pressed the clutch only to find that there was no pressure whatsoever. After pumping the clutch for about a minute, I noticed that there was some pressure but not near enough to be working properly. I checked under the hood and found that there was some dried liquid below the clutch master cylinder. I'm not really sure what’s wrong or what to do first. I've read something about bleeding the clutch to remove any air. Could this be the only problem or am I most likely looking at a slave cylinder or master cylinder problem? Also, where is the bleeder valve? I’m not very knowledgeable when it comes to engines so any information would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Chris
Thanks, Chris
Re: No pressure in clutch pedal!
Ya you might have a leak some where. And the bleeder valve is toward the bottom of the fire wall somewhere. Just follow the cylinder down and you should see a little nipple and that should be it.
