Installing two 1,000 Watt Kenwood Amps.
Installing two 1,000 Watt Kenwood Amps.
Could some one point me to a good install kit for two amps. The amps are KENWOOD KAC-7204's, rated 1K watts a piece. Going to be used to push 2 KENWOOD KFC-W3012 1,200 watt subs, and 6X9 Kenwood KFC-6982ie, 500 watts a piece.
Doind a big three upgrade on the Civic... Inline will be Tsunami LITEWAVE Series PP912UM caps to help alleviate some strain on the power draw.

Re: Installing two 1,000 Watt Kenwood Amps.
Wow. That's a nice setup. I was running the same amp.. but unfortunately, the amp died after about less than 7 months (brand new less than 7 months ago!!!!!!!!!!) and I was running 2 KFC-W2511 10" subs. They bumped really well.
But, sorry I'm not helping out at all.

Re: Installing two 1,000 Watt Kenwood Amps.
your gunna want a new alternator, if not now. soon. Im running 1000wattRMS Apline mono amp to a 1000wattRMS type X 12" sub and a 300watt RMS 4 channel Alpine amp to my infinity kappa components and alpine type s 6x9s and it took 6 months to pooch out my old alternator, I also have two capacitors inline with each amp, 1 farad for 300 watt amp and 1.5 for 1000watt.
