1997 civic ex trans problem
my wifes 1997 honda civic ex 2 door is having transmission problems. i noticed that when you take off from a dead start it feels like the front wheels are slipping. took it to the dealer to put on the 4 snow tires and had them look at it. guy said the trans is going. $2700 for new one. did some looking and found a TSB for a linear solenoid? not sure what to do. seems ok to drive, shifts ok. i can ease the throttle and it doesnt slipp but hard take off you can feel it. any ideas? thanks.
