Hey there,

I am getting my windows tinted this week but I am not sure what percent to tint them. The law here is 20% rear and 35% front as far as I know but I want to get the same % all around because I think it'll look better if it's the same.

It's a 1997 green civic coupe. Any suggestions would be great!

I suggest doing it all the same. Personally I like the 50%- better visibility at night time but keeps the sun off your back.

i love it, dont even have to wear sunglasses, backing up at night is a pain, but u get used to it

my brother has less than 5% on his 98 sunfire. its hard to see through it in the day time! much less night. however hes never been pulled over. probibly bc his bumper sticker says "i support law inforcement" lol

I am not too afraid of getting a ticket for the tint...I just want it to look good and not be too too difficult to drive. I think I'm leaning towards 35% all around though...but it'd be nice to know exactly how it'll look before hand...I tried to find a picture but couldnt...if you guys have one that'd be awesome. I have 5% all around and have never been bothered. No cops around here have a meter to test the tint. I don't have any problems in the daylight, you just have to be careful backing up at night.

I had the same problem..

I got 15% all around rather than making it all different. Keep it the same all around. 15% is cool, 35% is too light..in my opinion.

I got my tint done this weekend and decided to go with 20% all around. It looks good. Let's hope I dont get a ticket now. I dont find it too hard to drive either. Thanks for the advice!
