Upgrading a D16 Block with a Vtech Head, Need Help...
Ok, so here's the Dealio... I have a 2000 Honda <DUH! Civic with stock D16Y7 Engine... I want to buy a whole new head for it (keep the block but drop a new head on it) I was thinking of a D16Y8 (SOHC VTECH) and it should be a straight drop on right? Cause aren't the D16 Blocks Identical, its just the Heads and Cams that r Diff, etc... So I wouldnt be keeping any of the old head parts... I'll Just drop on a complete D16Y8 Vtech head on my block (that way there is no issue with height and stuff when the Vtech kicks in...)
And I just need to know If I am Right, that is will be a direct fit...
