D-series question

I have a 1997 1.6L SOHC civic (non-vtec) and was wondering if any D-series vtec head would be able to be bolted on? Also wondering what other parts would be needed to complete the head swap and have this thing running smooth?

Re: D-series question

I know you can swap a Y8 head to it and folks have also done the Z6 head. I would recommend heading over to d-series.org to look up information about that head swap (also called a mini-me swap). We cater mainly to 7th gens here. Just search around and get a baseline of info before asking questions. Folks may complain that we are hard on folks, but we're freaking kittens compared to some of the guys on there. Good bunch of folks, but a little rough around the edges.

Yep, same as above... or google (mini me swap) Great write ups all over the net about these. I did one myself on my ex 91 hatch easy and fun and it wakes the hell out of a si block.
