Hey everyone. I'm pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to remove the ball joints on my 06 civic. Every puller I have tried doesn't fit for this model type. Has anyone done it and if so, do you have a little video? It seems that on the 8th gens, everything is upside down and almost impossible to break free.
Super frustrating!!
Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

Re: 06 Civic - Ball Joints
I'd loosen the nut several turns then smack (hammer) the knuckle to pop the tapered shaft free.
If that doesn't work, then try a joint separator. And a hammer.
If you are replacing the ball joint and don't care about the boot, you can use a pickle fork and destroy the boot.
If you just want to get the knuckle free from the LCA, simply unbolt the bottom part of the joint from the LCA.
