LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Okay, Some of you guys gonna hate on the LEDs,
To throw it out there right now, I dont give a #^%&, they look sick as HELL.
So, got the idea from myself earlier in another thread where the guy needed brighter reverse lights, and I found a pair of LEDs on ebay for $1.
Yes, $1.
So thought I'd get them just for the hell of it.
and man do they look sexy
LED

OEM Halogen Reverse Lights

Left LED Installed

Both LEDs Installed

Final Outcome: (Yes, I have LED License plate lights too)

Whatever you guys think, I still like them anyways, so I'm keeping them
Adds a nice accent to the rear tail lights

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Actually, they are more blue in the picture than they look
it's actually very pure white
-shrugs-
Seller isnt selling those T10 bulbs anymore...and it's a brand new seller on ebay
http://motors.shop.ebay.com/brledlig...1&_from=&_ipg=
This was the link to original sale

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Honestly?
I never need to use the light from tails while backing, if i do, the brake lights are bright enough.
The output isnt that bad either, because they are SMD's and has like 9 LEDs in it
I was suprised at how bright these were, they actually brightened up the garage behind me.

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
I'm willing to spend a $1 on LEDs that might be dim, if I don't like them I'll just take them out.

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Do my reverse lights look really that compromised?
This pic is only the reverse lights on
(Its a lot bluer in the pic than in person for some odd reason)

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
The LEDs distribute the light differently, but it's actually pretty good light output..
I'm working on an idea for rear fogs, without a $300 UKDM one, that would solve the light output problem.

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
I would love to see a pic of the illumination at 20'-25' on that garage door. Please post up for a comparison when I install H7 bulbs.
Whenever my H7 bulbs get here I will do a write-up.

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Do you really need to reverse 20' behind you? Lol
I'll try to see if I can do a longer distance test picture
However, my camera doesnt have long enough exposure to capture it I doubt
We'll see tmr night
Obviously it wont be as bright as your H7's...
but for $1, it's worth it
+I have no more yellow halogens in my car anymore, except for my DRL's

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
This is a test from 35~40ft
(Only reverse lights)
Max illumination was about 15~18ft, for $1.04 shipped, definitely better deal than any other bulb installation.

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
hey Kenny, how's the daytime visibility with those bulbs? I had the ones that MindBomber attached the link to, and those were TERRIBLE during the day. The ones I have now are (I think, it's been a while since I've seen my tail lights illuminated during the day) alright

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Sorry, forgot to snap some pix Josh,
But @Dark
Seller I bought from no longer sells the ones I bought
You just have to be patient with ebay, sometimes you get good stuff
These would be pretty good reverse lights, but theres only 1 at the end
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2-pcs...item3a6214553b
Just search for T10 SMD LED
thats what I did, best if you bought the SMD LEDs, not the bulb LEDs, as the bulb diffuses the light coming from the LED and ruining the directional output
EDIT:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/NEW-2...item4aa7d03627
these look good, but they're blue
these look good too

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
These ones would be a couple dollars more, but they have 13 and 28 SMD LEDs?
thoughts?

Re: LED Reverse Lights Installed!
Sorry about not replying, but the second ones look pretty good,
Even if im not a big fan of the LEDs on the sides, dont know how it'd work out for reverse lights
But I'd definately try sticking them in my DRL's
Hey, if anything, $4, you got yourself a nice set of map lights
