Apline Type-R Speakers
I really need a quick reply on this one. I just went out and bought 6 1/2 component Apline Type R for my front and 6x9's for my rears. (Alpine Type r's)
My fronts won't fit. I went to buy spaces and there wasn't any big enough. My concern it being able to get the door pannel back on. Has anyone used these speakers....help.
The rears fit.....but when I close the trunk a bar hits it.......is this ok.

rears... yrou OK. when i had kappas, same deal, you might scratch up the magnet a bit, but it sOK. in my car, the torsion bars were severely warped, but as long as they still fucntion, which mine did, doesn t matter.
as for yoru fronts, is the depth greater than 3"? You can get yrou door panel back on fully with a 1" spacer, which is what you need to fit in a 3" speaker. as to the hole itself, which i assume the magnet wont fir through, grab a dremel and get to work! easiest way (i dont take credit for this) to open up the hole is to cut slits in it that go straight out (the the main supports of a spider web) and just hammer down all teh tabs you make. works like a charm!
