amp and speaker hook up
amp and speaker hook up
alright i am gonna hook up some amps in my car soon. for the regular speakers not subs . i am hooking up pionner 200 watt amps to every pair of speakers and i was wonder what u guys thought was the best why to do this. run all new rcas from my aftermarket headunit? or should i use the high level inputs? or should i do it in another way. i really have no idea what to do right now beacuse i have 4 pairs of speakers i needa hook up so what if i took 2 lines of rcas to the back and then split it with spliters and hook that up to the corresponding amp?
need ideas guys i have no idea what i should do/what would be the best
thanks guys

i think best way would be to use 2 pairs of RCAs. that way you have the ability to fade. if you use 1 with splitters then you wont be able to.
why use high level inputs when you have RCAs that give you a better signal.

You need to hook up 4 pairs of speakers? As in a total of eight speakers? Where are you puttting all of these speakers?
If you are referring to component speakers, being a woofer and a tweeter, 4 times, doesn't it have a crossover that takes one set of speaker wire from the amp and directs frequencies to both a woofer and a tweeter? In this case you just need an rca cable for the front speakers amp and an rca cable for the rear speakers amp.
I'm not sure i get what you are trying to do, sorry if i confused you myself, just repost with more info and i'm sure there'll be plenty of peeps that can help you.

i think its just a typo. he meant 2 pairs... maybe he's using 2 - 2 channel amps? not sure why but i just answered his question

hah no nothing is a typo but its not for a civic i have those pairs and then i have a set of subs already hooked up. my car has 2 pairs on the rear channel and 2 on the front right now and i am about to amp all of them. so u guys think the best thing to do is run 2 pairs of rcas to the back and then split them b4 =they get to the amp? and i am using 4 2 channel amps btw. yes i know about the power problem :-x i am jsut hopiing it will be alright
hahah can 1 battery power 5 amps?!?! IT BETTER
