I was trying to install my Infinity Kappas and you know the rubber ring around the speaker? I was trying to put the rear deck back and sumthing got caught onto the rubber ring and now there is a minor hole in there.

Is this rubber ring really important?

What do i do to fix it???

you can buy a speaker repair kit. sorta like a bicycle tire repair kit know what i mean?

you mean teh rubber ring around the cone, that attatches the cone to teh basket? that is called the surround. a hole in teh surround instantly hurts speaker performance, no matter what. however, it may not be audible to you, or audible ot the point where you would care. the speaker will still perform normally, only you lose a little separation of the rearwave, which you technically never had in teh first place, now that i think about it.

well gee, tho its never a good thing to have, i dont think it hurts you in any way.......
