Rear speaker fitment
I am wondering if the Alpine SPS-690A will fit in the rear of a 2002 DX coupe. Also will the Infinity Reference 6002si fit in the front? What modding will there need to be done? Also any suggestions for this price range? Thanks in advance, and I did search.

The Alpine's won't fit. They have Top-mount Depth of 3" and a Bottom-mount Depth of 3-3/8". You'll only have a 1/16" area between the magnet and the trunk bar. If that was the only problem, you might put a spacer between the speaker and deck to raise it, but the real problem is the top height, since the rear deck cover probably wouldn't go back on without cutting a hole for the tweeters to fit. Not worth it, IMO.
The Infinity's will fit. According to sound domain, it has only 1-7/8" Mounting Depth.
Mounting specs for the coupe: The front doors have 6.5" speakers with 2 inches of depth. On the rear 6x9's, you have 3- 7/16" depth, and the top mounting height is 7/16".
