Aftermarket radio installation, Haynes or Chilton manual for 2001 Civic?

A few questions for ya:

I can't seem to find a manual for my car. I've looked on the Net, Kragen, Napa Auto, and B&N and I can't track one down for a 2001 Civic. I can find up to year 2000. Is this the manual I should use? If not, where can I find a good book on my car.

I would like to put an aftermarket deck and some new speakers in. This means I need a dask kit which I've found on the Net (and I assume I can also get from the dealer?). Will I also need a wiring harness? In a nut shell how does one go about replacing this dash kit? Do I need to remove the whole dash? How easy is it to remove the door panels when I put the speakers in? Are there any resources on the Net specific to installing aftermarket radios in Civics?

Thanks!

Use the search button up top. There is a great DIY on this site that lays out the entire process. Just make sure you have a dash adapter kit, wiring harness (so ya don't have to cut and splice) and some electrical tape and wire connectors (butt connectors or spade). Ah, I'll find it and post it here for ya.

Awesome, thanks for the info! I'm all set now. The only question that remains is what kinda book I should buy. Does Haynes/Chilton even make a book for the 2001?

Buy the Honda Tech Manual... There's info to order it somewhere in the back of the owners manual... the other books aren't always right.
