Matting the Box
Matting the Box
Does anyone know if putting dynamat in the sub box makes a difference or is it a waste of dynamat?
Also that dynamat trunk kit that they sell on ebay doesn anyone know if its worth it or not because its only like 60 bucks and i already have my trunk lid done.

ya but he also asked if the runk kit would be a good buy. putting the dynamat in a box is pointless unless your box is made outa particle board and hen you are just an idiot. never mat inside of a box if you are that cheap that you would need to you prolly don't have a good enough sub or wouldn't wanna spare the cash for matting. lol but the trunk kit is a good deal. imo. but most people over price it you can get it for 69.99 if you go to the right place. i think if i remember right but i threw away the box you get 2 pieces of extreme and 4 regualr and at audio express(home of the sh1ty install and pricing and about everything else to do with a car)!!!! they charge 64.99 or 69.99 regluar for a sheet of extreme
reread the original post, yeah, i must have missed the trunk kit statement. i agree with you completely on that front, that a deadened trunk definitely has the potential to help. but whats with this statement?
im kind of confused abotu the mechanism of improvement of deadening the inside of a particle board box... cause i dont think there is any.....
but definitely on the same page abotu the trunk kit! i might look onto alternative forms of deadener tho, fatmat or brownbread works every bit as good as dynamat as a mass loader, and for $60 you can get a much larger quantity than jsut a trunk kit, so you could do yoru whole trunk to outperform even teh dynamat, and still have enough to do other spots....

true true i don't really like dynamat its packaged like crap unless you buy a bulk pak but thats just a waste of money i can get acumat extreme which is i think 5 mils thicker than extreme and i can get it for 7 dollars a sheet which is 4 sq. feet so i am going to do the rest of my work with that.
with the whole thing on the inside the box. i was just being sarcastic saying that if you are cheap enough to have a box that actually creates a resonated noise than dynamat would stop that but then again if your box is that crappy you are prolly to cheap to buy any kind of deadener. hehe
