You should use WinISD to build a box. It is a program that will give all of the info to achieve optimum performance for your subwoofer. All you have to do is input all of the specs for the sub, but I think that the Perfect may be already listed in WinISD, so you should have no problem. Maybe try porting it...I put ported ones in my girls car and they sound good, but check the specs because if you port it you can use more power according to Infinity's diagrams.
What ever you do, DO NOT buy a Q-logic box for the sub, because the perfect is a tad to small for a Q-logic 10" hole.

the .6 cubic feet..... do i hafta worry about the volume that the sub will take up?
i feel like a newb..... totally new to this sub building..... i am a newb to this.
when is says to tune the port to say 35Hz..... infinity gives me the specs of
length=10.4" & diameter=3.0"
how do i tune the port?....
thx.

don't mess with a port if you've never built a box. it's just one more thing to mess up and it changes the dimensions of the box. You should compensate for the space the sub takes up, but the dimensions I gave you should work fine because the total airspace for that box is actually about .67. You'll be happy with a sealed box for now. Then, if you feel more comfortable with it later try a ported box for it. You're only gonna spend about $20-$30 on the materials!
