i have 1 question...
is eclipse indash lcd and 10 disk cd=changer any good ?
ive never used any of their products so im not sure...
appreciate some input, thanks....

how do you mena, good? like, what kind of question is this? it jsut seems like you are trying to impress us by yrou choice of equipment.

as if we will judge you poorly if you buy pyle brand stuff and think yoru car is a pyle of ****, but think yoru car is awesome if you install eclipse and infinity.

you should put in what you like, not what we tell you to put in. no manufacturer is going to build stuff that doesnt perform. period.

what you migh tthink of as good many others here might not. sometimes different models in brands have different performances over each other.

maybe yoru definition of good is picture quality, where as others would think that teh eclipse screen looks liek it has a hernia as the screen pops out.

many people will have equipment returned if the box has defects. the box!

some people in here like to have mp3's rather than 100 cd's. that changer would be no good based on existance alone, not whether it outperforms other changers!

the bottom line is, the average person wont be able to tell teh difference between what they call a "good" product and a "bad" product.

but to answer yoru question righ tand proper, the eclipse lcd will display any video you feed it. yes it is a good player.

the eclipse 10 disc changer will take a 10 disc cartridge and play music, just like any other 10 disc changer. so yes, it is good.

if you are worried about build quality, even if you happen to get a bad one, if you buy from an authorized retailer, you will not only get a 3 year warrantee, you will get a 1 year theft warrantee, im nto aware of any other brand that offers that. thats just more goodness.

they will perform to their specifications. do you think their specifications are good? will they do what you want them to do? if so, you cna answer yoru own question, yes or no.

I work for a company that sells Eclipse... I will never use any other HU besides Eclipse...
Which LCD do you want? The changer is just an all around run of the mill changer. As for as just getting the LCD your still gonna need a HU. If you are talking about thier new all in one pieces they are by far the best choice. They may not have the pretty designs or that crap on them but they will out preform the rest.

uhh.... whiterabbit... doesn't that seem a little harsh? I mean c'mon man, maybe that guy really didn't know much about eclipse. I know when I ask about brands its because I want to make sure it will last as well as sound good or whatever.

i know the old ones used to beep with every button press and volume **** turn and it would be dependant on where the volume was at and it couldnt be turned off...kinda annoying.

dups, its not the question i am sick of its teh general terms. would you call a 100 Mghz good? probably not. most people would say the same thing.

but it performs beautifully for what it is, which is a 100 Mghz computer! and in that respect, it is absolutely a fantastic piece of equipment!

so you see, it would be a misnomer to call it anything BUT good!

in teh same way, clarion, JL, zapco, eclipse, jenson and even pyle is GOOD! the problem is that "good" is subjective, just like you might not think of the 100 Mhz computer any good.

furthermore, what you or I might not think of as good others do! I will NEVER think that ludlamtheory's car will sound good, bases entirely upon his install choices. that doesnt mean that HE thinks teh same way! and the same way that i cant say his car is good, based on opinion, i cant say his car is bad, based on fact!

the bottom line is, its a loaded question, "is X good?" and yet even people who understand that will ask it over and over. it gets old. I dont believe I was harsh in the leasst.

and did I not say that he would be satisfied with the screen and changer?

Well in reference to the computer. If somebody was to come to me and say is such and such good I would ask them what they would want to use it for and such and what their budget is. Then I would try to steer them to what is the best performing most reliable for their money, and make them aware of anything that might be a concern with that specific product. I understand that its subjective, as to what's good, its the same way in the computer business. But if somebody comes asking for your opinion from your experience or whatever, I think you should just tell them your opinion. People asking a question such as this should understand that their asking you from your experience what you think of a given product. Would you honestly recommend Pyle to somebody who could afford and would appreciate eclipse? I just thought it was a simple question and you started saying the guy was bragging and such, that was what I thought seemed harsh. Don't get me wrong, I almost always value your opinion and such on things, I just thought it would have been nicer to simply say what you thought of eclipse to help a fellow member make an educated decision. I don't mean to argue or offend, I just simply thought it came across a little harsh for the question that was originally asked. I know you get asked questions like his probably all the time, but its just because people know you tend to have a lot of knowledge about in-car entertainment and we just like to get others opinions so we know we aren't buying something that could crap out in a few months and that we really are getting the most for our dollars. You've never steered me wrong before when I ask for your advice and I always appreciate it. Keep up the good work !

mndthegap1, to answer your question, yes eclipse tends to be very well built and of very high quality. That is of course from my experience. I have an eclipse sub and I think it just sounds amazing. I also know somebody who uses eclipse headunits and an eclipse aluminum sub and it sounds absolutely wonderful as well. If you like it and its what your looking for than I would say you couldn't go wrong with it. But I have not used that specific product or seen it. But Eclipse is typically very good. Good luck!

from an eclipse authorized retailer. eclipse this year has such an agressive price program, you can find eclipse radios retail for what you cna find eaqual alpine and pioneer models for online.

their flagship model retails this year for $500 i believe. last year it was liek $800.

thier second most entry level radio retails for abotu $200 and even has MP3 capability.

but authorized is always your best bet for eclipse.
