Where to hook up amp ground in trunk?

Hi,

I just acquired a Honda Civic LX.

I will be installing my Pioneer radio and my Kenwood power amp very soon. I was just wondering where is the best place to plug the ground in the trunk. You guys are probably a lot more knowledgable than me since this is my first Honda.

Thanks!

i like to use the 'threshold' between the back seat and the trunk, because if you pull up the carpet, you can see that it is hollow underneath so you know you arent going to hit anything and the screw stays inside the car, so you dont put a hole to the outside that could eventually (looong term) cause some rust. Just use a self tapping screw.

make sure you get all the paint off your desired grounding point before you actually ground it...use a dremel or something like that to ensure the best connection.

I used the trunk latch on my sedan and I don't know what yours looks like or where you want to put the amp but that point has provided me with a very good grounding point.

i followed someone else's advice a few months back and used the bolt that holds down the rear seat belts...

should i change it to what bzrollin suggested or is that fine also?

don't worry about it, anywhere that's metal is fine, if it sounds alright, keep it.
