Rep Power: 0 Which model of MTX subs are you talking about. Check out Crutchfield.com to help compare prices. Also what type of wires are you using...I remember dropping around $120 for a full street wires setup. All I'm asking is that you research EXACTLYand SPECIFICALLY what this "guy" is offering, then come back to us if you have any questions or concerns about what you are getting. Folks here will be glad to help you.

Rep Power: 0 MTX Thunder 4405 5 Channel Amplifier
Tri-SubTM Enclosure
The T610X3 is a three woofer Tri-Sub trapezoid bass enclosure that conforms to vehicle seat back angles for a perfect fit. The Tri-Sub design fits virtually all hatchbacks, and is a perfect fit for many Camaros and Firebirds. With up to 1500 watts total power handling, the T610X3 takes whatever you give (and probably would ask for more if it could).
Three 10" (12-ohm) Thunder6000 woofers wired in parallel for total 4-ohm impedance
Frequency response 46-150Hz
Peak power handling of 1500 watts / 150-750 RMS
35-1/8"W x 13-3/16"H x 5"D(top) x 14-3/8"D (bottom)
I dunno what kind of wires they are using. He has a big spool.

Rep Power: 304 Get a different amp. That amp will only put out 150 watts RMS at 4ohm. And thats only if you can keep your voltage at 14.4, which is doubtfull under heavy bass loads. Spend the extra $$ and get a MTX 600.1 or something. With that 5 channel amp you are gonna blow fuses when you crank it, the subs will blow quick too when you turn it up....the amp is gonna push 150 watts of the most distorted signal possible to try and move those subs. It's just a bad idea to get that amp.
My personal recomandations for amps are Phoenix Gold, JL, PPI, and Alpine, however those are a bit more expensive, so go for a MTX 600.1 or something like that....one of the other guys on here can help you more with that.

Rep Power: 0 for $650, i think you can do much better than 3 MTX 6000 (midline subs) and a 5 channel amp (not enough power for the subs). for some, this combo may seem like a fairly decent deal, especially with the included necessary wiring and installation.
for others that are more expirienced, spending $650 for that combo would be insane, especially with the millions options that the car audio world offers.
I think newcomers to car audio are addicted to the "mainstream" brands and fail to consider the other quality companies that don't spend 50% of their budget to advertising. Brands like rockfod, kenwood, alpine, mtx and such are very respectable brands. but there are less advertised brands such as elemental, kove, resonant engineering, and such that offer exceptional quality products.
try spending time one car audio forums such as SoundDomain.com or EliteCaraudio.com and read up on the latest buzz in the car audio world. there are used equipment for sale under the classifieds forum which offer tremendous bargains over retail prices.
heres my suggestion for your $650 budget: get one or two good subs. im biased towards Kove armageddons and elemental subs (E12K). you could probably get 2 elemental 12ks for about $250-$300.
get an amp like a jbl 1200.1 which usally go for $225-$275
usually walmart carries scosche 4 awg dual amp kits for $25 which come with all the wires, distroution block and rcas.
MDF to construct the enclosure go for about $20 at home depot. a little reading from the DIY section on installing amps and building boxes, and youre set! probably easier said than done, but its a fun and addicting hobby.
im sure you can get the items for much less on the used classifieds, but if its for warranty you're after, go ahead and get em new.
well then....theres my $.02!
feel free to pm me if you need any help with any car audio related questions.

Rep Power: 0 wow that was a great reply... Someone was telling me to get that jbl 1200.1. My friend has one solobaric kicker a 12 inch L5 and that thing hits hard.
do you think I could just get one 12 inch L7 solo the jbl 1200.1 and power my interiors off that same amp?

Rep Power: 323 The 1200.1 is a class d amplifier, it's only for low frequencies. I think it's frequency response is only around 0 to 320 hz. It's also only one channel If you're talking about the 5 channel you were talking about before, that shoudl power the interior speakers fine.

Rep Power: 0 That jbl 1200 and 600 hit pretty friggin incredible for the price. But you would definately need a second amp to run your interior. Besides, multiple amp setups are just sweet (imo)!
