OEM deck Question

OEM deck Question
I went yesterday to Ovation (an audio specialist around central Indiana) and one of the installers said that keyless entry feature might be connected to the head unit, thus either I get to pick if i want to keep the keyless entry and put the new good deck somewhere else, or I lose the keyless entry (the HELL I'm going to do that).
I was wondering if anybody else has heard of this/come into this problem w/ an 01 EX. The installer said that this was on some of the 01 cars, and wouldn't know until he took it apart.
