Post audio install fabrics

Many of you who DIY and like customizing your own trunk would know how costly some of the materials are...I'm currently trying to find a good replacement for the old factory trunk carpet...I've looked into vinyl and it is dang expensive, i've also looked at velvet and its the same thing...what do you guys reccomend for covering a large area with a material that is "sturdy" like leather or vinyl or even just plain synthetic? Thanks

only thing i can tell you is go to the fabric store and walk around. you may find something interesting.
If not, you can always go with that "fiberglassed" look by puttin a single layer of glass on the outside of whatever. it'll give it that fibery texture and will be sturdy as all hell

I'm having trouble locating some vinyl in my area so, can anyone post a link on the web where I can find some. BTW, How prone is vinyl in the trunk to tearing when putting stuff like suitcases and groceries back there? I want my trunk to look nice, but still be functional.

vinyl is very sturdy but it can depend on what thickness you get...usually for this situation the vinyl used is fairly thick and can handle some abuse just like the carpet...but its dang expensive and i wouldnt want to risk ruining it by putting massive amounts of stuff in the trunk.....it looks great in my opionion if done right. Im sure Jo Anns fabrics has some....i was trying to find a good place online thats cheap....not going to well....Jo Anns might be the best for me
