Question static in speakers

i have a 4 ch amp for my cabin speakers and for some reason there has been off and on static coming from the speakers...it comes and goes..sometimes its loud sometimes its soft...is it a bad ground or could it be from RCA's being close to the power wire (rca's moving around) ? I'm thinking its from RCA's being to close...but this only started happen recently....Could it also be that i have blown speakers or speakers playing bass when their not suppose to be...i've been playing with my settings and everything is set on highs and it still does it..

okay if it gets louder and softer it's most likely being caused by your A/C switch wire under the dash..did you run the RCA's down the drivers side of the car.?

I had a problem similar to that, but it had to do with the alternator. When I accelerated, the noise got louer, and vis versa when I slowed down. I went to radio shack and they have me somehthing that I basically connnected to the RCA cable and it filtered the noise out. You should give it a try. It isn't expensive and you can always return it to radio shack if it doesn't work. I don't know the specific name, but tell them the problem and they should point it out to you. Since you have a 4 channel amp, just connect this to the RCA cables that carry the signal for those speakers that are making the noise, rear or front speakers. If you have anymore questions, just PM me or something.
