Hey everyone, got several questions for you all. First of all, so far I have double fatmatted the trunk lid and single layers the rest of my trunk and single fatmatted the rear deck. I just have one JL Audio 12w3, but it really hits ever since I have fatmatted. The only thing is that there are still many rattles that plague my civic when I turn up the bass really loud. Something in my bumper rattles like crazy when the bass is up, do you all know how I can fix that? Secondly, my rear deck still rattles, even after I fatmatted it. I made sure that it was in place correctly and all the clips were in place, and everything looked fine. I tried to stuff a towel in between the rear deck light and the window and that didn't help. Is there something maybe on the underside of my rear deck that makes this rattling? I know it is coming from that area. Lastly, when I turn up the bass real loud, there is a thump that doesn't happen continually, just when the bass hits really hard. I don't know what has been making this, but I know it has nothing to do with my subwoofer itself, something is loose back there, do you all know what it could be? I know that most of you with subs have had many of these problems, and many of you will probably know what some of these rattles are caused by. Id really appreciate you alls help.
I know that many installers use that expanding foam in the cracks and crevices of cars to reduce those rattles. I am about to sound deaden my trunk this weekend so I shuld know more by then. You can buy the foam at Home Depot, but I don't know then name, feel free to IM me at Tbone32379 on AIM next week if you dont get answers that you're lookin for!

my whole damn trunk is deadened with several layers of 18 ounce fiberglass roving, sealed shut 100%, and ill tell you, the bumper STILL rattles an itsy bit. short of spraying fom on teh inside of yrou bumper, live with it
Did you have rear speakers installed?? if you did you or the installer may not have put all the white clips back in the rear deck or they may not be back in the hole. try checking that. also make sure your rear deck brake light isn't touching your window. that can cause a problem too. if all that is good the only other thing i can think of is the black plastic box where the key cylinder fits in may be making the noise. hope this helps

I should really take a video of what happens when theres TOO much bass. My rear deck moves u and down about an inch when the bass is going, and it has managed to pull teh clips out of the little holes. On my rear seats the seatbelts bounce off the seat. My trunk is trying to open itself a way that doesn't open. Now i noticed my windshield wipers are giving me rattle. It's REALLY hard to get rid of ALL rattle.
