good place to put lcd screen ?

ok well commin soon i'm gonna have to do a lot of travlin around the states and what not well i figured if i had a lcd screen i would pop in a movie and try to make the time fly by faster, or just do whatever. well what kind of monitor would be good, i'm not wanting to get a dvd player with flip out screen thats way tooo much money. like what would be a good name brand to go with and what size would you you recommend. like i've seen people mold them into the dash where the cd player goes, well where do you put the cd player then, since the screen is in the way. or i've also seen some just set the screen near the cupholders. like i want to put it in a secure spot so it won't move around. I would even want to hook up my ps2 and play games on it. so what would you all out there recommend i do. like i've heard somethin about an fm modulator, wtf is that? i just need some good advice.

There are alot of differnt directions that you can go with this. I'm not too sure about what are good brands to go for, I just picked up a somewhat cheap screen from one of my friends and a dvd player. I Removed my cd player form the factory spot.. and took the plastic cover off from my tv and mounted it where the factory cd player was... then i took a small plastic trash can and cut out the plastic to the shape of the cd player.. then cut a hole in it so you can see the tv and then i spray painted it. Next to the E-Brake there is a bucket and I ran all of the speaker wires and stuff to that point and cut some plastic off of the bucket so that my cd player would fit in there and just hooked everything up and then I put the dvd player under the passengers seat. It turned out looking pretty nice for the price I paid for everything and for it being my first tv install. Becuase you want to put a PS2 in there that will play dvds and stuff so you wont have to worry about getting a dvd player. All you need to hook up the ps2 is a power inverter.. which just hooks up to the positive on your battery and then you hook the ground wire up to any metal point on the car... then you just plug the ps2's power cord into it and hook the audio RCAs up to your cd player and your good to go! Make sure that your cd player has 'AUX' inputs on it before you go out and buy everything becuase your gonna be pissed off when you go to hook it up and realize that its not gonna work! I had to go out and buy a new cd player because the stupid sony xplod deck that i had would only work with an adapter and nobody around here sold them and I couldnt find them online so i ended up buying an ALPINE cda78984 and it's awesome! If i can get my camera to work I'll try to take some pictures of everything that way you can see what i'm talking about alittle bit more.. I know that awhile back there was a post that had alot of pictures and stuff in it, you should do alittle searching and see if you can find it becuase it helped me out alot! good luck!

BTW .. an fm modulator is crappy and it's used when your cd player dosent have an AUX input on it... it hooks up to your cars antenna and feeds the ps2 into the cd player through the antenna.. if that makes sense... i've tried several of those and they all had static so i would definatly NOT recomend using one.

and you plan on putting in a tv/screen for YOU to watch movies while you drive? please, don't do that. Put it in for your passengers or for when youre parked, but not to entertain you while YOU drive. Thats asking for an accident

And that screen stays like that?

I would be terrified to park that anywhere other than inside my garage. Thats just asking for someone to smash a window and yoink that.

whoa man, those are celica GTS seats in your car am i correct??? good deal, yea i'm not feelin the screen, i'd feel better if it was molded in, so it wont have to take it and and do all that. and no i didn't mean i'd be watchin movies and all that while i'm actually driving, i know for a fact i would get in a wreck.
