from wut i read on sum other threads, im guessing itz not good to hook up an amp that powers only 2 ohm impedence to subs with 1 ohm.
i got 2 eclipse 12" titaniums, and if i parallel the two coils in each, then parallel the two subs, impedence wud be 1 ohm. wut amp wud u guys recomend to power my set up? the car stereo shop i always go to recomended a phoenix gold tantrum t1200.1, but i want sumthin with a little more extra power. preferably sumthin not TOO expensive. a lot of amps are at 2 ohms, and i dunno if thats good or not to use. i was thinkin of a rockford fosgate 1500bd, the fat amp cuz i can get a pretty good deal from a friend, but im not sure if itll work. thanks for ur input

those titaniums will want much more power than that, at LEAST 1000 watts each, if not twice that. theyre monstrous subs. i'd get an amp like that for each sub.

yea, but i probably cant afford more than one. i was also thinking bout gettin two of the phoenix gold octane r amps wen they come out and if theyre not too expensive, but im not sure yet.

duz anyone know if its bad to use an amp thats supposed to power through 2 ohms and use it in my set up thats at 1 ohm? it wud really end my troubles trying to find an amp.

i have around $800 rite now, and i found the octane R15.0:1 for sale for 380 each, so i was lookin at that. thanks a lot man

2 dual 4 ohm coil subs. and you need 1000+ at 2 ohms for each amp under 400 dollars.

haha yea duznt just seem possible. i think ill just go with one amp and one sub for now, and then just save up for another amp wen i make sum more money. wut amps wud u recomend regardless of price? just anything not TOO expensive
