i need a good amp to run my mids. i have one running it but i get a lot of distortion. i also switch it with another one and still the same thing. but when i used my friends zapco z50 amp the distortion was gone. can some one recommend a good amp for mids that kills the distortion?

all i got is the stock mids and tweeters. i ran a mtx blue thunder and a la sound amp with it and heard the same thing. when i ran the zapco z50 amp it clear all the distortion. i think the zapco amp has something to stop all the distortion. i just need me a amp that does that for under 100 if there is one.

i'd reccomend you get some money to change the stocks and run them off either of those amps

Yeah, about that Zapco amp.....it's about $1,700 retail if memory serves.....it's not that it has something to clean distortion, its that there isnt any distortion in its signal....heh.

I agree with Ludlam.....buy new speakers

If you buy Qs, they are not much cheaper at retail price then that Zapco amp

Has nothing to do with the amp. If you have everything set up properly you will have no distortion. I have done several installs with cheap *** amps and the system sounds great because I know how to set and tune everything properly. Instead of blowing your money, sit down, take some time, and set everything properly.
