New system, pics soon
I descided to go big this time, but I still wanted to keep things as light as possible. So this is what I came up w/.
4 coustic bass pump 12's
a coustic 800 watt amp
I descided to make the box go into the spare tire well and pannel it so that everything is flush when you open the trunk. I know that this sounds very heavy, but its not. The box itself is made out of 1/4" ply w/ 3 layers of lightweight aircraft fiberglass/resin on the inside and 2 on the outside. The face of the box is 7/16 ply that was smeared w/ body icing and sanded smooth so that it can be painted. The rest of the panneling was also made out of the 7/16 ply.
Im working on running the new bigger 4 gauge wire and cutting a 1/8 top plate that gets carpeted and covers the seams.
Also, I know that 800 doesnt sound like much power for 4 12's but all 4 are wired in series, so thats 800x1 @ 650x1 RMS.

Thats a good system. I used to work for Mitek (Xtant, MTX, Coustic, ect) and the stuff is pretty much bullet proof. I had a 600se wrapped in a towel at one ohm for 2 hours and it never shut off. I would reccomend this but it took the punishment. You will be happy with that product. I like the carbon fiber subs but the BP is good also especially with that amp.
