Audio Suggestions and Opinions!
There have been numerious requests for suggestions on different equiptment. I dont mind giving my suggestions, but before you ask please answer these questions.
Do you want the bass to be defining, totally crisp and clear, or a good mix of the 2.
How much do you want to spend?
(i can reccomend you some Dynaudio Components but i dont think you want to spend $1400 on a set of speakers)
What do you listen to?
Rock, rap, techno, ect....
This will help us from having to reply to everyones thread, asking these same questions. and will get your answers faster

I've got a better idea... How about we make this the Opinions thread. Basically, you go through every sub and brand youve heard, and say:
1 - What you liked about it?
2 - Why?
3 - What kinda music did you test it on?
4 - What you didn't like about it?
5 - Why?
6 - Who would you suggest it to?
7 - How was it installed (huge huge factor)?
Now, heres the catch, if i do stick this thread, and if i do leave it up, I'm also going to be heavily moderating it. If you're gonna bash a product or brand, tell us WHY, not just "It sucks".
Example:
"Rockford fosgate subs suck man, they sound crappy" = Deleted,
"I had some Rockford Fosgate HE2 subs in a 1.x cubic foot pox ported to 3x Hz, i found they performed well blah blah blah, muddy under blah blah blah, etc etc." = good

HU:
Eclipse 5440- Great deck, enought functions for an average user. But for the technical a little short. 3-1/2 Stars
Eclipse 8051- Killer deck, more options than i can ever imagine. 8v preamps, kinda wish it had a build in amp. but not a big deal. 4- 1/2 stars
Speakers:
Rainbow Dreamline 6.5 comps- Nice cheap set, not the greatest things in the world. but for the price cant really beat them. 3 stars
Mb Quart dx514??? coax 5 1/4's - great sound, lacked a little mid bass, but for $89.00 awsome. 4 stars
Eclipse 6x9's - nice got some good bass out of them the tweeter could have been a little more there. 3-1/2 stars
Eclipse 4x6 - had them in one of my old cars, pointed right at the glass. a little to bright of a tweeter. 2-1/2 stars
Amps:
Eclipse 36201: nice amp, wish it had stop features on the cross-overs and gains. clean amps, and a simple design 3-1/2 stars
Memphis 500d: Good amp, put out its power, had a sub-sonic filter. Chrome is always good 4 stars
Lanzar 1200d: Had it running at 2 ohms put out pretty close to its power (when it worked). 2 stars
Graffitti sound 1200 watt amp: at max 400 watts, horrible cross-overs. neat design looking at the circuit board. 1 star
Subs:
Eclipse 8710.8- Good sub, got pretty loud. pretty effecient. good sq 3 1/2 stars
Eclipse 8812 & 8815 - Good sub, sq was awsome with a sealed box. got loud for a single sub. they pinged a little when actually listen to the sub. 4 stars
Thats all i can think of now.

I posted a JBL 1200.1 review in the reviews section a long time ago if anyone wants to check that out (there are some other ones as well)...one thing that I didn't mention in the review is that it has a poor X-over, meaning that no matter how low you turn it the subs always seem to pick up some voice...unless you tune it so low that you hardley get any bass. To correct this I am using both the JBL x-over and my HU's x-over.
The amp is a good deal for stickly cheap power and no bells and wistles.

Pioneer Premier 740
Pros:
Great sounding deck. Loads off options and features. Awesome display for our cars in the stock location, can be seen at all angles no matter the time of day.
Cons:
Horrible with MP3's. Takes 11 seconds to change songs. This is the only reason I got rid of it.
Alpine 7894:
Pros:
Extremly clean sounding deck. Loads of power. Tons of settings and options. Awesome MP3 playing, only a second or two between songs.
Cons:
Horrible display in our cars. Almost unreadable during the day. Not much better at night.
I love the deck tho so it will probably be relocated to the cig lighter area.
