Im starting to think that there is no headunit that you can see during the day

If someone does find one let me know, cause I like my JVC SH-99 but you can not see a damn thing in the day.

its also because of where youre sitting... im pretty tall so i sit pretty far back, i know when i lean the seat in forward cuz someone is sitting behind me, that i can now see teh radio better. basically, the only HU you can see from ANY angle is any HU wihtout a shiny plastic cover on the screen... leaves you with the stock, and maybe a nakamichi.

I can see my Pioneer 7400MP with no problems. In the day I have the brightness on 15.
I have the reverse issue. At night on the highway or in the country its way too damn bright. I have to sometimes bump the brightness all the way down to 1 so it isn't so distracting.

Recently, ive put a Sony CDX-CA810x and a kenwood that was last years model that had a color changing background, and it seemed like you could see them in the daylight, i could be wrong though, i only was in them long enough to pull them into the parking lot. I do know that you cant see any alpine from last year (well maybe the one with the biolite display, but ive never seen that in our cars).
Regular Joe, i have the premier version, the p740mp, and I have that feature on where it bumps down the brightness when you turn on the headlights. I have it at 15 during the day, and it jumps down to about 5 at night, it works really well for me. It only is a lil hard when i drive around during the morning and at dusk when i have my lights on and the sun's out

i have an oldskool pioneer DEH8000r and cant see ****. i'm gonna custom mount it on my roofboard, right in front of my map lights, that way the sun will never glare it.
Hmmmm interesting ... except I generally always drive w/ my lights on for safety.
Oh ... profurious..... love the rims ..... I got em too. I rarely ever see anyone w/ them. You are the 3rd person I have ever seen.

i used to have a pioneer deh-7400mp, great display imo. really bright during the day, and i never had a problem with the display, always viewable.
now i have a clarion dxz835mp, really great unit, but you have to fiddle with the colors to find the right one ( the best one for day time view is a light background color because then the letters/numbers will be a dark color ).
either way, for viewing, both great, but the display on the 7400mp is a lot nicer.

I have and am selling my Sony MDX 660 (3 Years old and already sold) and I liked that fine because the LCD was good at night and it would flip down durring the day. Worked very well for me and still does, only reason I sold it is because I am having a Clarion VRX935VD installed on Thursday

Kenwood MVP-KDC 7100 Or however you spell the model name.
It's the one that changes colors and plays mp3... works fine with me.
