Fatmat hood liners

Hey guys....couple a quick questions...i'm ordering my fatmat (rattletrap, 70sq.feet) and a hood liner....should I get the urethane faced or the aluminum faced one? And are these really worth it? (as in, do they kill a lot of engine noise?) The hood liners are $49, and they come with a sheet of fatmat to fit the hood, AND the liner.

Thanks guys!

Well, i dunno... I sort of don't see a point, because theres really not too much engine noise at all.. I have an 01 LX coupe, and sometimes it sounds and feels like the car isnt even running, because the engine is so quiet! Its up to you though... My ears may not be too finely tuned into hearing all that. It was just SUCH a big change for me, b/c previously, I had a 1992 Volkswagen Passat, and the engine on that car was LOUD! The Civic seems quiet as a whisper

thanks!

Doug

I have an LX Coupe and Dynamated my trunk and side pannels in the back seat. I dont hear much engine noise. I hate to here rattle in my car so when I hear some I try my best to find it and kill it. So far I have done pretty good. I haven't had to do the hood though. I dont really hear much coming from there. But hey if you feel the need then go for it. IMO I will not spend the time or money to do my hood

I have to agree with the other guys that it wouldn't be worth it. When my engine was stock, I seriously couldn't hear anything. Save your $50.
