Window Automation DEI, how to install...??
I currently have a viper alarm system installed, i just purchased though a 530T Window Automation System (it closes the windows when arming and rolls them down with an Aux button). Im really confused on how to install this thing, Anyone with knowlege with DEI and the Viper series please help. How do i hook it up to the main alarm unit and how do i assign it to a combo of buttons on the remote? the remote has an unlock, lock, AUX and panic button. Info please!!!
i have a viper alarm, and i WANT the window kit. is there a way you can get me information on the way the wireharness is setup on the window module? I can help you in most ways concerning wiring and that alarm and your car, and power windows, but ive never gotten the chance to get my own window module.
if you can get me information on that kit, id be glad to help in any way i can

Its really going to depend on what model you have, but there should be some extra wires coming off of the brain. On most units, red w/white is channel 2 and white w/blue is channel 4. thats going to go to the activation wire to the 530t ( i cant remember the color off the top of my head). The orange wire from the 530t goes to the orange ground when armed output that goes to the starter kill relay. You are going to have to diode isolate the starter kill relay for the 530t to roll up the windows when you arm it. Without diode isolation, it will still roll up your windows, but it will do so when you turn off your ignition and not when you arm the alarm. You've got to cut the wires between the switch and the window motor, the small guage wires go to the factory switch, the large to the window. That allows the one touch up AND down on both windows (from the drivers switch), to get it from the passenger switch, you have to run wires to that switch too. If you have any specific questions about the install, i will try to answer them for you, but id need to know the model number of your alarm first.

im 99% that i have installed the 800 ESP Viper. What this about the starter kill relay. The wires that come off the 530T are marked and go like this: Could you please tell me what these wires go to, where to hook them up to, and where to find each wire to hook up to. Thanks So Much all this info is great.
1st wire harness
Violet = Ground Path, Motor #1
Green = Down Motor #1
Blue = Up, Motor #1
Red = (+) 12V Constant, 20A Fused
Black = (-) Chassis Ground
Violet/Black = Ground Path, Motor #2
Green/Black= Down, Motor #2
Blue/Black= Up, Motor #2
2nd wire harness
Brown= Up, Switch #1
White= Down Switch #1
Red/White (-) Auxilary Input
Orange (-) Ground When Armed
Gray= (-) Output During Activation
Brown/Black= Up Switch #2
White/Black= Down Switch #2

OK, here goes.
you are going to have to take the drivers door panel off, and fish the white, green, brown, and blue wires through the grommet in the door. I also ran the passenger side set into the door so it was all right in front of me. then you have to locate the window wires. The wires are red/ yellow and red/ black for the drivers side, and blue/ white and blue/red for the passenger. Now you are going to cut all 4 and make these connections:
530T harness------connect to
-----------------------------------
red-----------12V+ constant
black---------ground
violet---------ground
white---------switch side of red/yellow wire
green--------motor side of red/yellow
brown--------switch side of red/black wire
blue----------motor side of red/black
orange------ground when armed
red/white----input from alarm
gray----------brown/black on viper 800 (is on the 11 pin harness)
violet/blk----ground
white/blk----switch side of blue/white
green/blk---motor side of blue/white
brown/blk--switch side of blue/red
blue/blk-----motor side of blue/red
Now on a viper 800, you will have some choice as to which channel to put them on, in standard transmitter assignments, your channels will be laid out like this:
channel #----buttons-----wires from alarm brain
3---------------III-----------white/blue
4---------------IV-----------white/black
5---------------I+II---------gray/black
6---------------III+IV------purple/black
Pick one of those wires and connect it to the red/white wire on the 530T. Channels 4-6 are in the 11 pin harness on the alarm.
Now, about the orange ground when armed, you will have to make a connection to this wire, then, somewhere between this connection and the starter kill relay, you will have to cut the orange wire. Then put a diode band side towards the brain (i think, i may be wrong, you will have to make sure the starter kill still works when armed, if it doesnt, then just put the diode the other way).
Then all thats left is to adjust the dip switches so that they both roll all the way up and down without stopping and you are done.
One touch up and down on both windows is great.

Window Mods are the bomb. They are great for hot days. Just roll them down before getting in and the car cool off. Damn those are what I am getting next but I think I ran out of channels on me ny viper because I hooked my street glow up to the alarm so that I could turn them on and off with the remote and ot need a switch in the car.

In re-reading your first post, i dont think you have a viper 800. I think you may have a 600, because 800's buttons read I, II, III, IV, and a 600's buttons are lock, unlock, panic and aux. If thats the case, it will still hook up the same, except that your only channels will be channel 2 (the aux button) which will be a red/white wire, and channel 3 (the lock and unlock buttons simutaniously) which is the white with blue wire. If you use the red/white wire, you will have to connect the other red/white wire on the relay harness (8 pin harness) to ground. Oh, and i dont think the 600 has a shunt input, but you shouldnt need to connect the gray wire to anything, if you run into problems and need to, check directed's website to see how to connect it, there is a diagram and everything in the installation guide for the 600esp on page 28. Also, any channel used must be set to validity, but that should be set like that in default.
