Does Infinity 605CS Have a Low Pass Filter?
Help me out with this one, guys. I got a friend that doesn't think the 605CS filters out low bass. I own 'em and it sounds like only mid-bass comes thru. The specs on the speaks say 54-20KHz, crossed over at 3500 Hz. Anybody know what the true low pass numbers are for these woofers?
yup, that crossover absolutely does have a lowpass filter at 3500 Hz, to filter out teh highs and let the LOWS PASS to the mid woofer
or did you mean highpass filter for the midwoofer to block out bass frequencies and let the HIGHS PASS? your amp will have one, usually people who invest extra money in components also invest extra in amplifiers, where they cna set the high pass filters on them to like 50 Hz to block bass frequencies
or you could just get bass blockers.
or since you say only midbass seems to be getting through you could not care that there is no highpass filter for the midwoofer

I thought (I guess incorrectly) that the component speakers would have bass blockers built in and leave the bass frequencies for the sub. Since I'm wrong, I guess I'm impressed. Those little guys sound great!
