2,4,8volts?

Head Units:

Some units have 2 volts, other units have 4 volts, some eclipses even go as far as 8, or 16 volts... Will i be able to tell the difference on these? Is it worth the extra money? (Not for the 16 volts, but the difference between 4 to 8 volts???)

I'm trying to decide between the new Alpine 9807 (3 sets of 4 volt)
Or an Eclipse (Don't know the model) with 3 sets of 8 volts.

Price difference is about $50

well some say the higher the voltage the more cleaner your music is, and some say if your gain is set correctly it wont matter

8 volts would usually leave you with a cleaner signal, but lotsa times your amps can't handle 8 volts. 4 is more than youll ever need for a daily driver

alex053 will become famous soon enough
has to do with signal to noise ratio. If you have higher signal voltage then your noise floor will be lower. 4V is good enuff for 90% of the people out there.

I've got 8 volt pre-outs. My jl 300/4 has to be turned down on sensitivity, but the 1000/1 eats it up
