Amp. Battery Wire

Does anyone know of the best possible spot to run my amplifier's battery wire through the fire wall.

Thanks

Check the DIY. There is a rubber gromet under the carpet in the front passenger side.

Yea, we lucked out with that one. It's easy to get to and plenty big enough for a good size wire.

i have 4 AWG wire running through that grommet with plenty of room to spare. run power down the right side of the car and RCA (if you have them) and remote turn on down the left side. really easy install.

yep, power on the right. RCA on the left but mines in the middle coz the amp is under the front passenger seat.

from the battery and fuse housing theres a rubber seal on the left side of the engine bay where wires from the ECU also pass.

rubber gromet under the carpet on the passengers side. Use a hanger and poke it through the gromet into the engine bay, when you get it through the engine bay, tape the power wire to the hanger and pull it through into the inside of the car.

I just ran my power wire down the passenger side and the **** is interfering with some radio stations. I started noticing that if I tune in a radio station with a weak signal it started getting really staticy and sounding like crap. So I hit the amp cut-off switch I installed and the radio station comes in loud and clear. I'm pissed... I suppose it's because my power wire is running parallel with the antenna. So now I get to tear down the whole car again and move the power wire to the drivers side.

Unless... Do you think I could just wrap either the power wire or the antenna in aluminum foil or something that would shield it from the interference?

Any ideas?

There's a metal called mumetal that's known to reduce electro magnetic transmissions, it's commonly used to insulate these things. try a search for that.
