is this a good sub to amp match?
I have a 10 inch alpine type s 4 ohm by 4 ohm and they alpine mrd-m300 amp is that a good match up cause if so I think im going to get one more ten and one more of the same amp....
I would have to say yes. The M300 is a great amp, I have one running my 12" JL Audio 12w3 pushing a 2 ohm load and it hits pretty good. It really depends on how you program your M300 though, when you get it just right, then your sub should sound great, took me a while to get the settings just right, im really happy with it now.

I had my friend who works at the place I got it from program it... I got that amp the sub the bandpass box and the wireing kit all for 467... pretty good deal in my opinion...its kinda to loud for me right now cause I cant adjust it cause its on my stock deck... im still waiting for the alpine cda 9815 to come out thats the deck im going to get
I think that you can buy a module that will let you control your subs even if your are still using your stock deck. You just run the wires from your rear speakrs into it and then back out to the amp and theres a **** on it so you can control the volume. I'm not sure if Best buy carries anything like that but I know that the smaller shops around my house carry them.

yup.. i had that amp and a 10"type R (i also had the RUX bass ****)
its a nice set up.. but i wanted something with a little more output
so i now have the 10" SWR in an alpine custom ported box and a new amp putting out about 500-600 RMS
i know.. its running at almost 200% of its power, but everything is going fine so far hehe
