Rep Power: 293 AMP STARTED SMOKING FOR NO REASON!
Okay, I've had the same setup for about 5 months, no alterations at all, and it always worked fine until valentines day. I was listening to my music pretty loud and then suddenly the bass sounded like it was having trouble hitting. It would go a few notes, then cut off, then go more, and so on. So I turned it off. Later I kept it pretty low and it kept doing the same thing, so I just kept the volume very low, and eventually the bass just went away all together. While I'm on the highway a friend notices a weird smell, and I recognized it too. It was something in my system burning. I pulled over and found that my amp had smoke coming from it. I disconnected the ground, and it continued to smoke, so I disconnected another wire, dunno which one it is. It still smoked. So I disconnected the power wire and it finally stopped. I just got around to checking it out tonight. The fuse it ok, the wiring seems to be connected correctly, and I still haven't made any modifications for like the last 6 months. What could my problem be? Im sending the amp back and getting another one, but I would like to see what the problem is before I fry another perfectly good amp.

Rep Power: 293 I just disconnected all my glow lights, etc. Then rehooked up the amp, it only goes into protect. Even with the car off, the light still comes on, odd...
