Aftermarket 6x9's...
I have Infinity Perfect 6x9's in the back and the torsion bars for the trunk, or whatever they are ( If I sound stupid, its probably because I am...) keep hitting the bottom of the speaker. Not enough to do damage but it is just an annoyance when I close my trunk, I was wondering if there was anything comparable to Infinity Perfects 6x9 that fit well in the 2002 coupe...ex....thanks.
last time i checked, there were no 6x9 perfects. are they green? or silver? if they are green, they are the oldskool kappas, and i had those for a short short while in my car. they have a rubber surround? i just cranked them down. in either case, if its not too bad, you cna put some padding between and crank yours down, too. the torsion bars dont need to be in the exact position they are in right now...
if they arent "just barely" too big, you will need to make a spacer out of wood to get them to fit. quick chop job, and maybe trim the rear deck so it will fit. shoudlnt be too difficult, a weekend of work, all round, start to finish.

I have the 6x9 Kappa's (Green ones) and they fit fine in my car. There is a little room between the speaker and the bar. They dont touch the bars.
Or you can ask Grey for his D.I.Y. trunk shocks, they replace the trunk springs with gas shocks so you will have unlimited clearance for 6X9's. All the parts only cost about $40 too.
