Has anyone heard these...
LA Storm Comp Subs
I have read a review in a magazine and they got a pretty good review, but I have never heard anyone running these. Has anyone heard anyhting about them? Any of you guys that work for Rockford hear about these?
They have to have the largest surround that I have ever seen!
But the takes away from cone area so i am wondering how loud and deep they can get. They look quality, except for the ghey dustcap...but that is typical LA Audio.
The price seems to be great! Wonder if they are worth it?

Big surround = big BS. Yes you may get more cone travel out of larger surrounds but at the same time you decrease cone area! Just look at This Sub! it is the one that i have. Small Surround but it has held NUMEROUS records. Hell it had the world record at one point with 4 of those subs. It was beating out guys with 40+ subs in 1 vehicle. Including Rockford and all those guys using the "big surrounds" It's all BS most important thing in a sub is the magnet strength

The sub just caught my eye because I read a review of them where they hit like 137 dbs with 600 watts (if I am remembering correctly). I was just imagining when i get my SPL cravings...but I just rolled with my 4 Shivas and they hit pretty decent
Anywayz, they prolly sound bad, but ya never know until you hear. They are also pretty cheap in price!

Yeah, I am sure that I can hit at least around 150 with my current set-up, but 137 is pretty good with just one sub.
Edit: I looked up the correct stats in the CS&P mag that I saw it in. It hit 134.8 with 800 watts sealed, and 143.3 at 48 htz ported. The reason why I even brought up the sub is because it got a REALLY good review (said that plays clean down to 20 hrtz for a 10") and I recent saw it for cheap at theZeb (which is really not really my favorite place to order from, because they sent me the wrong thig one time, and they took over 3 weeks to get the right thing to me). I was just wondering if anyone has heard them because they are at a nice price, and I was curious if the review was justified.

if youre gonna get a system, might as well go little further with audiobahn/eclipse ect. but if all you want is thump, go for it. it's cheap
