wierd reciever feature?

I have stumbled across the hint that the Alpine 7995 cd/mp3 reciever does not have ANY ability to put out power to speakers. Do you really have to buy a component amp just to use it?? I'm hopin Im misunderstanding this.

No, there is no amp inside an Alpine 7995. You absolutely must use external amplifiers.
