Any Good HD MP3 Players?

Has anyone found a good HD mp3 player? I've been looking at the Dension DMP3 player, but it doesnt look like it will have the fidelity I crave. Any recommendations (don't say the empeg, i dont want to hear it).

Kenwood eXcelon KDC-X859
beautiful deck, with tons of features, reasonable price, and has d-mask, so if your running into the store of a couple, don't have to worry about taking it out!

you don't really need a hard drive. Cd r's can already hold about 180 songs.

the Pioneer DEH-P940MP is GREAT! flashy but a little steep.
MP3s are great, and with a normal OEM steup, the sound difference is hardly noticable

I got a Rio Car In Dash MP3 Player that has a 20 Gig Harddrive in it. I bought it about a year ago, when the company went out of business and sold their products for $300. You could still find some on e-bay. Here is a picture that I tok of my install.

Would you guys be interested in a unit like this: Dension DMP3 Player? I could probably cut everyone a deal, as they've said I can be a dealer. I still dont know. I want to keep all my music in my car, but I want it to sound really good, so I may have to just build my own unit.

I've got the Pioneer Premier DEH-840MP and I love it. I ordered the 8400MP but they shipped the Premier at the regular price $319 wasn't too bad.

EDIT: One annoyance - When you're using an MP3 CD in random mode, you can't skip to the next RANDOM track, it just goes to the next one in order. Also the titles don't scroll automatically.

Does anyone know of a HD mp3 player with a coaxial or optical output? I would love to use one of those Nakamichi mobile 20-bit DACs instead of the crappy ones they usually use onboard.

youre asking for quite a bit there.... optical in a car is useless... the noise floor in our electrical system is too high

Ok, well, theres no product out there that makes me happy, or giggle with glee, so I think I'll have to build my own. If you guys were to buy a product, which would you rather it be based on:
DashPC
or
JJBox
How much would you pay for:
-CPU unit
-Screen (probably a retractable 1-din)
-Input device (remote or keyboard)
-Coaxial out with high-quality DAC for input into an aux on your headunit

I'm gonna try to make this a poll. I really want to do this, but I don't think I will unless other people want them.
