Need Help Now!: Best Way to Pull Out Dash Piece

Hey guys. Whats the best way/angle to pull out this piece with the air conditioning controls, etc. I think I may have cracked it pulling from the bottom so hard, and yes I have the screws off. Help?

Try pulling where the a/c vents are at the top, I found that to be the sweet spot. You gotta yank it out like a crazy ****!!!! Damn clips!!

Theres a bracket that is holding it with 2 screws. Remove them and just push up really good and hard and it should come out .

I just did it this weekend, and let me tell you, the rear deck was cake compared to taking the radio out. Sure, I followed what I had read on the board, but no amount of muscle was getting the deck out of the dash by pushing fro behind. Those clips are solid.

The best method I found was to release the glove box so it hinges all the way down. You can gain access to the deck from there. I used a flat head screwdriver to pry the bezel away and a few of the clips released. At this point I was able to pull on the dash bezel by hand. Just work your hands around the outer edge. I had the toughest time with the top three clips. Don't be afraid to pull hard. It takes A LOT of effort to get that thing out.

Good luck!

Just start near the vents and pull, work your way all the way around and there ya go. Tricky at first

i used this ice scraper i got from my dealer, it doesn't scratch anything, and works so easily. i just started at the bottom left, where the a/c fan control **** is, and worked counter clockwise, took me a minute, but i didn't have to work hard to pull it out.
i wouldn't use a screwdriver or anything like that, it will most likely leave scratches and marks around your dash, the ice scraper, or something similar ( long, flat plastic head ) should work fine.
