To much weight
I just wanted to some opions on the weight in my trunk. I noticed that I have been having a hard time lately stopping and I am getting worried that I may have to much weight in my trunk. Could my problems with breaking be because I have to much weight in my trunk. i would really like to have atleast 3 subs in my trunk, but if it comes at the expense of me getting into an accident i would rather just run with two subs.
What do you guys think; can having that much weight and 4 subs in my trunk adversly affect the hadling on my ride?
sorry, if this question is stoopid

im only glassing the tire well, and im thinking of using glass instead of screws for a big part of it since ill prolly build most of the box while keeping it in the trunk... i just ordered a 10 yard roll of glass that comes in friday, plus i just got me digital camera in december, so i think that theres gonna be plenty of pics coming from me for a variety of things im gonna do.... (trunk, also gonna build a small sealed enclosure for the rear speakers that sits in the rear deck, and im gonna do some custom DOOR pods for kickpanels... im too paranoid that i'll kick in a speaker, and i also have a false floor for my spare on the passenger side so no room)
I will probably have over 500lbs. in my trunk between the 2 hydraulic pumps, 2 optima yellow tops, my 2 15" subs and my 3 amps

Cool, I want to check out your pics to see if you have put any new ones up but ofcoarse sounddomain is down! You should post some pics on this site
I dont have any new pics up. I just got enough money to finish my hydro install which I am gonna start back up hopefully next week. I am selling my rims too, and getting a set of 19's After I get the hydros back on, I am gonna pick up the buddy club 2 body kit in which it will lay on the ground. Man, I can't wait.
I just changed my entire audio setup too. I will start on the fiberglass install once the hydros are in so that I can get the body kit and all the fiberglass panels painted at the same time to save on money.

fonto, ive always had tons of weight in my civic. it was actually a big shock to drive my coworkers buzzbomb ricerocket of a 6th gen civic, im used to driving my car like a lincoln.
you dont risk accident, you jsut have to anicipate. a civic doesnt have the same stopping distance as a suburban! but you compensate when you drive a suburban. and now you gotta do it for yoru civic.
also naturally youll wana keep an eye on your brakes and suspension more than a stock car, as wear and tear is accelerated.
and if you cant fit 1.8 each shiva for 4, id switch to three shiva for that reason, weight be dammed
lemme know what you wanna see of my glassed shut trunk, because i have about 200 pictures of my install, including the trunk glassed shut and airtight completely.
but to answer your question to the hilt, yes, having 4 subwoofers in yoru trunk adversely affects teh handling of you car. but you already knew that but your still zippier than a big truck, right? you can still outperform an f150, right? so you cant outperform a stock civic anymore, everything has its tradeoffs

Ya, I understand...just need to adjust
Yeah, I would love to see pics of your trunk glasses
I have seen where the back seats used to be but i have never seen the trunk.

its a bloddy mess, i assure you.... been working my **** off the past 2 weeks to finish teh cabin side of the box (which i did at 2 pm today, so happy) but i havent done squat to teh truck, i still need to brace the rear deck, brace the trunk lid, and cosmetics. its literally 2ish layers of 18 ounce roving covering every hole and non-flexible metal (minus the floor)
