neon switch help

i have an 02 ex, and i was wondering does the rectangle thingys next to the power accessory plug pop out? i wanna put my neon switch there but i dont wanna tear that up trying to find out. if it does pop out, anyone have suggestions on how and what to pop it out with?

Um, just make sure you get switches that fit that stupid piece. All the switches I bought were too small for that so I put them in the little tray in the center console. I think you can buy OEM switches from Honda that fit in those spots. They may be expensive though.

i looked and i cant find a switch big enough, so i was thinking about cutting a hole in the rectangle thing that out, the size of my switch. would that work?

i took a drill, drilled several holes in that rectagular piece, then took an exacto knife, smoothed out the hole then voila! perfect fit. also painted it black to look cool

i extended the left and right rca inputs of my head unit and put flush mount rcs jacks on the dummy switch, its a bitch to drill through it though, but its pretty simple. but now i can hook up my mp3 or minidisc player to my headunit, and then take it out and listen to it when im not in my car.
