Will i need to get a CAP
If i have an eclipse 32440 4-channel amp running my front components and rear fill (they'd be running at 4 ohms, which the amp is rated at 85X4) and an eclipse 34230 running my DVC 12's (they'd also be running at 4 ohms, which the amp is rated for 370X2), do ya think it'd be necessary to get a CAP? My lights don't dim now when the bass hits and that's with the 32440 and a kicker zr240 running the subs.......anybody out ever use or own the eclipse 34230???
p.s. I would let everyone know what subs they are but everytime i do that my question never gets answered, everyone gets off topic and tell me to light my subs on fire and throw them in a trash can

No, you don't Need a cap...it is kinda just a waste of money except if you wanna keep your lights from dimming...I have never noticed my lights dim either before or after the cap, but they dim when i roll down the windows with the music on
Anywayz, i just like my cap for the digital read out, but besides that it was a waste of money IMO

Well, granted, I have a lot more power being drawn off my car than you guys might, but if I play my bass at full volume with the car at idle, and no cap, it stalls. Headlights dim till they go off, then the car stalls out. With the cap, I can play it with no problems other than my lights dimming A LOT. I will eventually have to add a couple more and a new batt + alternator...::sighs::

i was drivin around the beach the other nite, and i was going up a hill...now when i play my tunes, my lights dim...alot....and i was playin em, while i was tryin to drive up this steep *** hill, and my car died. it jsut shut off. at first i thought that i stalled it, but my foot was still on the clutch, and it jsut shut off. so i start it, and then it shuts off again....i don't know what happened. it hasn't happened since tho....it was really really weird...
i havent read a single word of this post. but im still right, that you do not need a capacitor. because they are junk.
and if anyone wants to argue they are junk, we can go at it all day, but youll never prove that he NEEDS one.
as to whether you WANT one, thats personal preference, thus the "you" qualifier.
but youll never need a capacitor, not ever there is no reason at al why a person would need (need as in REQUIRE) a capacitor.
its like saying "you require an equilizer to have good sound." there are so many logical fallicies in that sentance it makes my head spin
