JL Audio Stealthbox

A member of this forum posted a while back that he had installed the JL Audio Stealthbox designed for the 7th Gen Civic. I've searched but cannot find the post. Anyone remember who that was?

Yes it will fit in the sedan also. In fact on the website it shows the box in a sedan. The JL Audio Stealthboxes are very overpriced (what isn't these days) and yes you can probably build one cheaper but the quality of these things is fantastic and they sound as good as they look since they are optimized for the driver. I happen to like the OEM factory look that you get from the Stealthboxes and Q-Forms. If you don't care about competing and just want great sound and good looks, they are certainly a nice option.

No one knows who the guy was that has this?

I don't know who posted it but you could definitely have a custom box of similar quality built by a shop for less. I believe it retails b/w 450 and 500 usd. Way overpriced. The pic on the jl website doesn't show a sedan, either, it is a coupe. I'm not very familiar with the sedans but unless they are really close, I wouldn't think they would get a very good fit.

SQ, on that link you provided the pic is in a coupe, and it says on the page that it will NOT fit the sedan.

My bad guys, sorry about that. It is just for the Coupe. I was thinking about another install pic.

$500 retail is not as bad as I thought, are you sure about that price?

Yeah, I called my local audio shop to check a few weeks ago and it was actually under 500. If you think that's not a bad price, go for it .

yes I got the kicks and both sub enclosures. The fit is to a T. It even wraps perfectly under the rubber molding, very very nice. Kicks are decent, I liek the fact that I still have my foot rest, important when you are 6'4". Plus they are off axis which is good for imagng. Only drawback is the vinyl is not perfect match but a local upholstery place matched it for $25

Oh he will cut the hole according to your sub so be prepared to give him the model of what sub you are using.

Did you just go with the internal volume of the box as is which I believe they have listed as 1.25 or did you ask for a specific volume? I've emailed him a couple of time today but I've received nothing yet.

yeah he is pretty busy, I think it actually worked out to 1 cubic foot, perfect for 12w3v2s. I don't think I could ask for better sound out of those subs in that box. Box is tight too, very rigid. He'll get back to you don't worry, worse come to worse call him.

I have the Stealthbox and have really happy with it. It includes the 12W3 so you are only paying about 300 for the box itself. The box installs easily and looks great. Plus it hits pretty hard.

The best part is that you get to keep most of your trunk and still have bass.
