Question about fglass and bondo
Hey....im filling the dash bezel thingy with bondo or fiberglass to mount my headunit in....anyway, I was going to use bondo, but my car audio shop said I should mix fiberglass resin in with it to make sure it doesnt fall apart....whats the mixture I need to make? Like, 8 parts bondo to 2 parts resin? I know this isnt the proper mix, but what is it?
Thanks, also, what kind of primer/sandpaper grit do I use?

P.S. I'm guessing mohawk will answer, so thanks in advance...hehe

make the mold out of fiberglass - bondo weighs too much
sand it down to its decently smooth - 40 grit and some 80 grit
then fill in all the pin holes with bondo and smooth it out
sand it down until it completly smooth - 40 grit, 80 grit 120 grit then 300 grit, then 600 grit, 1000 grit if you want vynal or 1500+ for paint

Subrage is right but if your gonna paint your not done yet! Apply fiber glass to lay out your mold then Bondo to fill in your big holes and sand. Now here's where you make your decision: If your gonna vinyl your done cause as long as you dont have major bumps you cant see it through vinyl, Now if your gonna paint you need Poly Preimer to fill in the tiny holes and sanding marks. Sand down the Poly Preimer until it feels like a babies butt and now your ready for Painting.
