System almost done!
Just thought i'd update everyone that helped answer my questions during my install....I've got all the tuning of the amps done, and the speakers installed....the SQ and bass are incredible.....Was worth every cent I cant wait to get my SPL tested, and finish up my sound deading. Right now the tweets are running full range, midbass woofers are HP crossed at 100 Hz, and the subs are LP crossed at 55 Hz. Tweets are mounted in the stock EX location, woofers in the stock location, with the door panels shaved out on the inside to fit them. All driver wiring is Phoenix Gold 12 Guage twisted, shielded and time corrected. Power wire is Zero Guage PhoenixGold PowerFlo series. All connectors are PhoenixGold 14K Gold Plated.
I'm probably going to be disconnecting the tweets from my Boston RX57's coaxials and using those for rear fill, running off a PPI PC250 at somepoint....as well as XM radio, and hopefully some video stuff soon....
Here is what i've got so far:
1 Set of MB Quart PSD 2-Way Speakers Bi-Wired
Two JL Audio 12W3v2's in a sealed box, exactly 1 cubic foot of airspace per sub, wired at 2 OHM each
1 PPI PCX4125 highs amp.
Two JL Audio 500/1 Sub amps
PhoenixGold 1 Farad Cap (Adding 2 more of these within a month or so)
PhoenixGold 4 port fuesed distroblock, with voltage meter (volt meter will be installed once my bondo finishes setting, and I feel like painting the mount)
Alpine 7893 HU
Apple 10 GB iPod Mp3 Player
Once I get off my ***, and get a new table saw, im going to be ressessing (is that a word?) everything into the floor and covering it with plexi...i'll post pics of all that once it's done.

Tweets are supposed to be high passed ..I know..your MBQ Musicomp corssover does that allreeady . Also might want to cross your subs over about 15-20hz higher....bass under 70hz isn't really directional..and bass in most music is between 40 and 80hz..so you'll have better bass coverage..

1 year warranty from the site...and they always honor warranties..not like you'd ever have to claim the warranty unless you did something dumb to blow the speakers yourself anyhow

No..you can use them for tweeter protection because they have virtually no AC resistance (less than most tweeter protection circuits) and they light up when there's any DC current above 3000 cycles....the tweeter protection curcuits on Rainbow Pro's is too sensitive and my tweeters were constantly cutting out..

lol....speaking of blowing speakers....my x-overs have this little fuse thingy at the top, and when I crank it up really loud, they light up....bright red....but dont blow...and the speakers are still crystal clear....I forgot to ask the guys at audiolink about that before they closed...but maybe you know...is this normal? lol. THey assured me I wasnt overpowering the speakers....RMS on them is 130, and with them bi-wired, they are getting 250 a pair.... Just curious...I guess if the things blow out, I can just replace them.

Hey, I have the same speakers as you and the fuse for the tweet glows when you play it really loud, but it is nothing to worry about I think the MB crossover had a tweeter protection circuit that will help to keep your tweets from blowin.

Yeah, the speakers are nice
I have the speakers in the stock locaton...I used a screw spacer and connected them to the stock location. I didn't put the grill on because i didn't really like how it looked, and it barely fits without the grill anyway...look at my old picks linked at the bottom
I have my tweeters at the normal level on the crossover, because when you bi-amp the speakers you are supposed to make the adjustments by using the gain (according to one of the few things that the instructions said! ) . I have my tweeter gain slightly lower then my woofer gain, and I like my tweets on the bright side. I will probably post some new pics in a few days because I got my GF a digital camera for x-mas

My tweets are lower than the woofers with the gains....but they were still too bright....so now they are on -6.0 and still pretty damn bright....lol, oh well, I still love them....so much better than my friends Focal PolyKevlars....even though he thinks his are better...

I thought companies like Quart and JL dont honor warranties on products sold from the web? Is that 1 year a factory warranty or one from the website?
