I'm new to systems, help me out???

hey,

I was just wondering what everyone looks for in subs, amps, headunits, what is your fav? I'm looking for a well known brand, I'm not too crazy on sound but I want some more bass possible clearer at higher levels, I wanna spend about 1500 dollars on a head, subs, box, amps, if that's enough. Just wondering, want some opinions thx.

Poke around the pics and such in Members Rides.

Thats where I got all my ideas from. You'll get a good idea of what you can do from a basic level to the extreme.

Feel free to start be taking a look at my car.

head $200-$300
inside speaks $200-$300
box $25 (if you build it)
subs +/- $100-$300 (depends on your purpose)
wiring and other stuff +/- $100
amps $250-$600 (depends on i you wanna amp the inside speakers, and depends on the subs and the speakers etc etc.

1500 is a nice budget... i didnt even spend 1500 and im beyond satisfied (although i paid nowhere near market value for things)

what are you looking for for a headunit? strictly quality? pretty colors? both?
do you have any brand preferences?
subs - what do you listen to? how loud do you really wanna get?

If you want a nice brand i would suggest alpine. they make great headunits and there type R subs rock. I would get a different brand of amp though there amps arent that great.-- Just a suggestion if you have any questions PM me
