Fake Led/alarm trick...

I managed to get some leds with wires already on them, i want to drill ah ole and put one in my door/dash to blink while the car is off. (until i save cash for an alarm), so what extra parts do i need to make it blink? how is this done? Thanks [IMG]i/expressions/beer_yum.gif[/IMG]

it's basic circuitry. I don't know how to do it, but anyone with a decent knowledge of electronics will. The electronics class at my high school makes them and the class if full of crackheads. One you get teh schematics for it, it's easy to put together.

Thanks bro, i guess i wold have to wire a resistor inline cuz i sure cant run 12 v to that lol. im still confused.... how would i make sure it goes on when the car is shut off?

if you wire up a switch somewhere and just turn it on when u leave your car that'll work...its the easiest way...if u want it to come on automatically when you shut off your car then you'll need a Single Pole Double Throw (SPDT) relay...here's a way to wire it

86: Ignition wire +12V
85: Ground
87: Nothing
87a: Constant +12V
30: + LED wire

yeah...relays are neat...

get a real alarm, it's worth your time and money! and some insurance companies will lower your premiums for it also
