My stereo fake face plate

This one is real old, did it about a year ago, but I finally got around to posting it. This is my fake stereo face plate that I have to hide the goods when I am parked. Its the OEM stereo face from when I bought the car, but with some hacking, glueing and shaving, this is what I made. Enjoy.....

be warned, it takes alot of trimming to make it fit. Also the buttons work to add realism to it.

I hope they don't see this! I don't want them to whack my windows and find out that mine is really the OEM and there's nothing special underneath.

about a hour, as long as you never want to use your OEM deck again. It is just a matter of glueing the buttons back in place, know where to put the glue so the buttons still work, and a dremal for trimming the peice up to fit.

i had no plans of using it again, besides the stock deck sounds "muddy" and not as clean as a aftermarket.

That idea is "SICK"! in a good way! My questions are:

1.) Who makes the mounting kit that your aftermarket head unit is in?
2.) What do you use to secure the "faceplate" in place? Of course it's not on there when your driving the car, but when you get out of the car and shut the door, it may fall off if not secured??

Thanks!!
BTW- AWESOME!

Honda makes the mounting kit for the deck I didnt buy a mounting kit, I mearly used the stock location. Bolts in fine, and sets it back so I could attached the fake face plate.
I dont secure it with anything, just pops on and stays.
