Aftermarket speakers in coupe??

I just bought 6.5" Polk EX speakers and I need to know is there a special mounting bracket or anything so I can mount this to the factory door position? I have searched but found nothing. Sorry if this has been posted before, which probably has. I don't want to drill if possible. Thanks for any input

You must drill.

You will most likey have to drill for it, if you need spacers or anything, check with Crutchfield's website, they have tons of good info there.

Good Luck

I had to use a Scoche spacer and I had to drill out some holes. I also bought these standoffs which I attached to the sheet metal. Then I just screw down the speakers and spacers as a unit into the threaded standoffs. Works great and IMO is the cleanest that you can do. You could maybe modify the stock mount, but that's a toughie.

Moving to I.C.E. ...

I used to have those speakers (Polk EX3s) in my 'vic, and they are pretty easy to install (provided you have a drill). I just used the grill ring as a spacer and it fit perfectly without hitting the windows Just make sure that you line everything up right and it should fit good. If you are planning to put the tweeters in the stock locations that was kinda of a pain, so you have to be creative with that

I used the metra spacer and drilled some holes. It's very similar in size to the OEM speaker spacer
